Upper Black Work Day
Join us for a workday on upper Black! We will be working on reshaping and doing rock work on a turn that has eroded due to the severe weather events we've had over the last few years. We have gathered rock on previous work days and will be shaping dirt and installing rock to make it more sustainable and enjoyable. We will be parking at the intersection of middle and upper black at maxwell and hiking up black. Tools are already stashed up there!
We will meet at the Pisgah Ranger station at 8:30 am and carpool up Clawhammer and Maxwell. We will plan to have everyone back to the ranger station around 3 pm. If we have enough bike rack space, we will be able to offer a shuttle at the end of the day! We will plan to have designated drivers going up, then people can ride down middle and lower black at the end of the day. If you need leave early, please let us know and we will probably have you bring a bike and ride out. If you have a high clearance/4wd vehicle and would be willing to help drive, we'd appreciate it and please let us know!
