The Kids in Trail Stewardship (KITS) Program connects youth to public lands through hands-on trail work, environmental education, and outdoor recreation. By pairing real hands-on impact with learning, KITS helps kids build a deeper understanding of how and why trails are cared for, while growing their sense of stewardship, confidence, and connection to the outdoors.
