What a season. Over the course of the 4-race short track series, more than 250 riders lined up with us, and every one of them helped make this truly special for the community. We had kids on their first-ever start line, beginners testing their legs against other riders, longtime local racer legends chasing their friends, and pros who showed up to throw down on a weeknight.
A huge part of this series’ success came from our friends at the Hub. Their new backyard trail gave us a home venue that’s tight, techy, fun, and perfectly suited to a short track format, with room for racers, families, and spectators to hang out. Thank you to the whole Hub crew for opening up their space, supporting local racing, and investing in a trail right here in our community.
None of this happens without the businesses that back us. A big thank you to Orbea, Cane Creek Cycling Components, Cognative MTB, and Fox Factory for supporting the series. Your support kept entry free for riders of every age and ability, and it helps fund the trail work Pisgah Area SORBA does across more than 150 miles of trail in the Pisgah Ranger District and beyond.
Lastly the biggest thank you to every racer, volunteer, and parent who showed up! You turned a handful of evenings into a special way for the community to bond. A huge high five to our core volunteers who made this all possible race after race!
