As we have done in many past years, SORBA will have a celebration on Sat. June 2nd of all the great trails in DuPont State Recreational Forest. How better to celebrate than putting in some time working on trails. This is part of a larger national day of trails celebration happening all across the US.

Motorists in the Pisgah District of the Pisgah National Forest Saturday, May 19, that’s down around the U.S. 276 area near the Forest Service Ranger office and the picnic area and Davidson River Campground, should be aware of hundreds of cyclists racing in the Pisgah 111K Mountain Bike Race, a 70-mile mountain bike race with 11,000 feet of climbing.

Introducing Coldwater Mountain, IMBA-SORBA’s newest trail system! The Grand Opening ceremony for Coldwater Mountain, located outside of Anniston, AL, is set for noon, June 1st, at the trailhead. Friday’s ceremony will include acknowledgements, a ribbon cutting, and rides led by the Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA), the local IMBA-SORBA chapter.
