PAS - Bent Creek -Trail Work Day - 04/08/2017 -
Location to sign in for trail work:
Rice Pinnacle Parking – near the kiosk
Information about trail work day:
We’ll replace another section of the Deer Lake Lodge Bridge – just down the hill from Rice Pinnacle Parking. This section is only about half filled with soil, so the digging part will go much faster. We should be done by 1:00 PM. Please bring whatever PPE you have and water and snacks.
If you plan to attend please e-mail.
All volunteers are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with USFS guidelines.
Pisgah Area SORBA has hard-hats, glasses and gloves for your use, though we suggest you bring your own. You can borrow them for the day or purchase on-site for future use. Due to safety regulations, bicycle helmets are not acceptable.
Long pants and non-slip footwear are also required. We suggest you also plan on bringing a day pack with adequate food, water and weather gear (rain shell, etc.) Crew Leaders reserve the right to assess each volunteer's PPE to ensure compliance with land manager agreements.
Hope to see you turning dirt at our next trail work day.
