Deerfield / Pintree Trail work day 10/14/2012
Sunday turned out to be a good day for trail work, as the weather was cool and cloudy and made for comfy conditions. Big thanks to Rick, Tara, David T, David K, Lani, and Ava for working today. We did not dabble. Mostly cleared drains on Deerfield and Pinetree, cleaned out a couple of mudholes, and did a short section of rebenching on Deerfield where the tread was literally falling off the hill. We will be spending a lot of time in Mills river on the Lower Trace reroute, so consequently Bent creek will be seeing limited action in the coming months, but it will not be ignored. Fall and winter can be the best time to work with the colors in the fall and mild days in the winter. Bent creek never sees rest and the maintaining can never rest. Don’t hesitate with the work requests and suggestions of repair.
